In2Out
In2Out is a registered charity dedicated to reducing reoffending among young people aged 15 to 21 as they transition from custody back into their communities.
Operating primarily out of HMYOI Wetherby in West Yorkshire, In2Out offers a comprehensive mentoring and resettlement program that begins 3 to 6 months prior to a participant's release and continues for approximately a year post-release. This support encompasses assistance in securing employment, education, or training opportunities, developing life skills, and fostering positive social relationships. Notably, while the national reoffending rate for 15 to 18-year-olds stands at 65% within 12 months of release, participants engaged with In2Out experience a significantly lower rate of less than 25%. This success is attributed to the organization's personalized approach, which includes the Life Skills Challenge—a program equipping young individuals with essential skills such as cooking, budgeting, and personal hygiene, leading to an ASDAN qualification.
In2Out's efforts are supported by a dedicated team of staff and volunteers, many motivated by their Christian faith, working collaboratively to help young people realize their potential and contribute positively to society.
