The Pilsdon at Malling Community

The Pilsdon at Malling Community is a Christian charitable organization located in West Malling, Kent, dedicated to providing a place of healing and refuge for individuals in need. Established in 2004 within the former Ewell Monastery adjacent to the Anglican Benedictine Sisters of West Malling Abbey, the community offers a safe and supportive environment for those seeking respite from life's challenges. Residents, known as "guests," are invited to participate fully in the community's daily rhythm, which includes shared meals, work, and prayer. The community maintains a "dry house" policy, prohibiting alcohol and drugs, to ensure a stable environment conducive to recovery and personal growth.

In addition to long-term residents, Pilsdon at Malling extends hospitality to wayfarers and individuals experiencing homelessness, offering short-term accommodation and support. The community relies on volunteers to assist with various tasks, including cooking and gardening, and welcomes those interested in contributing to its mission. Through its commitment to hospitality, spiritual nourishment, and communal living, Pilsdon at Malling serves as a sanctuary for those seeking solace and a fresh start.
